PE vision at St John’s including EYFS
|
Our vision at St John's C of E for physical education is to inspire every child to develop a lifelong love for movement, health, and physical activity. Developing children physically is essential for them in order to lead an active, healthy life. A good quality PE curriculum provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness, respect and love. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can experience the joy of participation, learn fundamental movement skills, and build confidence in their physical abilities. Children build ability in regular and diverse physical activities. By engaging in competitive and cooperative activities through structured opportunities in competitive sports and collaborative games, children can develop lifelong healthy habits and last but not least - children enjoy fun, engaging experiences. By embedding these principles in our physical education curriculum, we envision a generation of confident, active, and health-conscious individuals who value physical fitness as a vital part of their future success and well-being.
